No es la historia que lees en los libros, ni la historia que se vende en los museos y monumentos del centro de la ciudad. Est\u00e1 lejos de la comunicaci\u00f3n de los medios de comunicaci\u00f3n y la propaganda estatal. Es la historia de las calles.<\/p>\n<p>La historia del activismo en Kirguist\u00e1n es reciente, y tambi\u00e9n la m\u00e1s convulsa de todas las <i>Stans<\/i>. Desde que se adopt\u00f3 su primera constituci\u00f3n ha habido todo tipo de protestas, las m\u00e1s fuertes de las cuales tuvieron lugar en 2005, 2010 y 2020. No en vano, Kirguist\u00e1n es considerado el pa\u00eds m\u00e1s democr\u00e1tico de Asia Central, el \u00fanico que se ha levantado contra el estado y removi\u00f3 a un presidente en ejercicio de su cargo (no una, sino dos veces).<\/p>\n<p data-adtags-visited=\"true\">Pero no fue s\u00f3lo la necesidad de tener voz, de votar, de crear un estado democr\u00e1tico lo que motiv\u00f3 los levantamientos. Durante el per\u00edodo sovi\u00e9tico, el remoto Kirguist\u00e1n fue testigo de las consecuencias ambientales m\u00e1s graves de la extracci\u00f3n de uranio. Este sector minero se gan\u00f3 el apodo <i>la fortaleza at\u00f3mica del Tian Shan<\/i> y hoy en d\u00eda, algunos dep\u00f3sitos a\u00fan amenazan con descargar contenido radiactivo en los lagos, r\u00edos y aguas subterr\u00e1neas del pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n<p><b>El caso de la mina de oro de Kumtor<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Cuando en 1998 un cami\u00f3n derram\u00f3 2 toneladas de cianuro y clorhidrato de sodio de la mina Kumtor al r\u00edo Barsko\u00f6n, la sociedad kirguisa supo c\u00f3mo actuar. De las protestas sali\u00f3 no solo el actual presidente <a href=\"https:\/\/www.refworld.org\/docid\/519a6b2737.html\">Sadyr Japarov<\/a>, a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aljazeera.com\/news\/2021\/7\/9\/kyrgyzstan-moves-to-nationalise-gold-mine-run-by-canadian-company\">nacionalizaci\u00f3n<\/a> procedimiento y una inconclusa <a href=\"https:\/\/jusmundi.com\/en\/document\/other\/en-centerra-gold-inc-v-the-kyrgyz-republic-iii-first-amended-notice-of-arbitration-wednesday-16th-june-2021\">juicio internacional<\/a>, pero tambi\u00e9n un esp\u00edritu claro: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rferl.org\/a\/kyrgyz-protest-law-to-allow-mining-in-glaciers\/28842606.html\">No a Kumtor, No a las Minas, No a las Minas en los Glaciares<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p data-adtags-visited=\"true\">La mina Kumtor ubicada en la monta\u00f1a Tian Shan sigue trayendo cientos de controversias. Es la segunda mina de oro m\u00e1s alta del mundo y los desechos de la mina siguen siendo <a href=\"https:\/\/bankwatch.org\/project\/kumtor-gold-mine-kyrgyzstan\">arrojado sobre los glaciares<\/a> que alimentan el r\u00edo m\u00e1s importante de Asia Central, el Syr Darya.<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-4170 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/perangua.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/IMG_2549.jpg?resize=1024%2C707&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"707\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/perangua.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/IMG_2549-scaled.jpg?resize=1024%2C707&amp;ssl=1 1024w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/perangua.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/IMG_2549-scaled.jpg?resize=300%2C207&amp;ssl=1 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/perangua.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/IMG_2549-scaled.jpg?resize=768%2C530&amp;ssl=1 768w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/perangua.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/IMG_2549-scaled.jpg?resize=1536%2C1060&amp;ssl=1 1536w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/perangua.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/IMG_2549-scaled.jpg?resize=2048%2C1414&amp;ssl=1 2048w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/perangua.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/IMG_2549-scaled.jpg?resize=18%2C12&amp;ssl=1 18w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/perangua.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/IMG_2549-scaled.jpg?resize=579%2C400&amp;ssl=1 579w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><b>\u00a1Ley de Protecci\u00f3n de Glaciares ya!<\/b><\/p>\n<p>No es solo el cambio clim\u00e1tico lo que ha reducido la cubierta de glaciares de Kirguist\u00e1n de 8000 km2 a 6000 km2, es Kumtor, son las minas. Actualmente hay 65 proyectos mineros planeados en superficies glaciares.<\/p>\n<p data-adtags-visited=\"true\">As\u00ed es como activista ambiental <a href=\"https:\/\/www.opendemocracy.net\/en\/odr\/are-kyrgyzstans-glaciers-under-threat\/\">Kalia Moldogazieva<\/a> y el glaci\u00f3logo Dr. Ryskul Usubaliev describen el problema. Forman parte de un grupo de ONG y cient\u00edficos que cabildean en el parlamento para la aprobaci\u00f3n de una Ley de Protecci\u00f3n de Glaciares que replique <a href=\"https:\/\/www.batimes.com.ar\/news\/argentina\/supreme-court-throws-out-mining-giants-against-glaciers-law.phtml\">la ley argentina<\/a>. La ley reconocer\u00eda a los glaciares como recurso estrat\u00e9gico de Kirguist\u00e1n y prohibir\u00eda las actividades econ\u00f3micas que pudieran conducir a la destrucci\u00f3n o contaminaci\u00f3n de los glaciares.
